In my approach to theatre education, I focus both on the importance of creating a space that is safe for creative discovery and expression, and on the importance of pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Theatre is about more than just acting, and my hope is to always engage each and every student in some aspect of the art form (be it back stage, on stage or off). I encourage a deep understanding of the various aspects that go into mounting a production, and work to find each student the venue that will benefit them as growing individuals. Theatre has been vital to my ability to connect with myself as well as the world around me, and bringing that connection to another generation is an absolute privilege.
Aside from my primary employment history, I have freelance experience in:
-after school theatre programs and summer camps
-private coaching in acting and Shakespeare
-as choreographer and director for musical productions at various local schools
